Canada Day Weekend

This is what our Canada Day Long Weekend looked like this year.

We did what we could to keep the toddler occupied.
He spent most of the time un-capping and re-capping the markers

We enjoyed our happy little girl...

I figure it is time for a Sherlock photo. You haven't been forgotten, Buppa!

We spent some time with Uncle Scott

We hung out as a family...

We moved Emilia to her own room (in the bassinet). Her first night in her own room and she slept 9.5 hours straight!! 7pm-430am. She's been waking only once at night for about a week now *don't want to jinx it!*.

So nice to have my side of the bed back.

Dominic (finally) discovered he can climb. Gone are the days where I can run upstairs to put Emilia to bed and not worry about him at all. :(

I (very inexpertly) cut off Dom's mullet. Thankful his hair is basically translucent so you can't see the hack-job.

Dominic helped Daddy fix some boards on the deck. (Dom manned the tape-measure)

Mom & Scott joined us for some delicious hot dogs! Glad they invited themselves over, as we didn't have any other plans Canada Day evening. David and I listened to the fireworks from our bedroom while we were trying to sleep. Maybe next year we can go watch them!

We tried to take a 2018 version of this photo from last year...

Got a couple cute ones in addition to the first photo on this post.

This is the first time Dominic has let Emilia sit on his lap. Look how excited he is!! Warms my heart <3

Normally he'd fuss and try to wiggle her off his lap immediately, but he was mostly excited this time. Yay!! He loves his little Yaya.
