Lately

I feel like I haven't sat down to blog in a long time!
Things have been so incredibly busy lately, but nothing overly blog-worthy(?).

Here are a few photos of what I've gotten up to the past week or so.

Quality control testing for the signature drink for David's 25th birthday party this weekend! This party is largely why we've been so busy lately. LOTS to do!

We take Sherlock for a good walk every day, but sometimes we throw the ball at the dog park and he insists on "cooling off" in the mud... He seems pretty proud of himself!

The church hosted a Building Project Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and David and I were invited to attend. There was a slide-show, a couple speeches, and we were filled with delicious Greek food and cheesecake!

We celebrated Aly's acceptance into the UBC Neurology residency with pizza and drinks at her parents' house.

Super dark photo, but we brought Shadow along as Aly and her family just loooooooove Shadow. {Although who doesn't? She's the sweetest, most mild-tempered dog out there.}

Amidst the rain storms, our garden keeps getting brighter and brighter!

{I don't know why this photo keeps going vertical instead of horizontal...}
This was the MASSIVE cake they had at our church's Dedication Service on March 5. David took a professionally lit/edited photo for the church and they got it printed on the cake!

Our friend Ashley and her boyfriend Brian got a puppy! His name is Oakley and he's an Australian Shepherd. He is very confident already, and seems super intelligent! Such a love. Sherlock laid down on the floor and just let Oakley climb all over him. It was very sweet.

Couldn't get a clearer shot, but who wouldn't love this face?!

Like I said before, we've been doing a LOT of party prep for this weekend. We were going out to buy some balloons, and came across the new "Party City" story in Langley. WOW! So exciting and overwhelming! They have everything. This is just a wall of some of the helium balloons they have to offer.

It's a Michael's-size store, but filled with party supplies. I would highly recommend going there. Even if you're not planning a party. We could have spent hundreds of dollars there... Super easy to get carried away!

All of this on top of birthdays, Small Groups, church, dog agility, David's work, appointments, visiting friends and family, and the day-to-day goings on. I don't know how people do all these things and have kids to chase around at the same time! We're exhausted, but at least it's all fun. It's all good. Once this weekend is over hopefully our lives will calm down slightly.
