Thankful Thursday - 161

1. Christmas Dinner Lunch with Oma. I regrettably didn't take any pictures at this, but Oma invited me to a lunch at Elim that was very well attended (over 60 people)! I felt very special to be there, and was by far the youngest attendee.

2. David's new camera. I've been a little hesitant to mention this, because I feel like we've had a year of major purchases. However, this is a/another business expense, and I am so reaping the benefits! His old camera (Canon 6D) was good, but camera technology has made some major leaps in the last 5 years since he got it. He now has invested in a Sony A7iii (maybe technology people know what that means). The focusing ability is a game changer for us taking pictures of the kids and dog. Definitely looking forward to more high quality photos!

3. This old dog. Matthias was 4 years old when David and I started dating. He was the craziest and smartest and most neurotic dog ever. He turned 15 this past Friday so the whole family got together to celebrate. Just an excuse for a family get-together I'm sure.

4. Santa Photos. We haven't discussed whether we're going to do the "Santa thing" yet. I didn't grow up with Santa, David did. That being said, I think Santa photos are hilarious and Dom did not disappoint.

5. Storytime. Dom is very slowly getting more comfortable at things like Storytime. If he's with me he will play nicely, but as soon as someone else he's not very familiar with starts talking to him he shuts down. It was nice that Carter, Devin and Eli were there this week.
It's also nice that I was able to go while David was at home with Emilia during her nap. It makes this whole staggered naps with the two kids thing much more doable!

Christmas cookie decorating. Dom actually put some sprinkles and colored chocolate chips on his before devouring it.

Winter themed sensory bucket. That smile though.

6. New Glasses. Back in high school I got a very minor prescription, and I figured just in case I don't go back to work and lose my benefits I should get my eyes checked again. Technically I rated at 20/20, but they gave me a very minor prescription again. I decided to fill it and now have two new pairs of glasses. Maybe more accessories than anything(?)

My more normal every day glasses.

My funky, out-of-my-comfort-zone glasses. Gold frames with black cat-eye detailing.
Also this is actually two separate photos, I just have very consistent selfie abilities apparently haha!
