2. Having outdoor space. Living in the basement suite, and having no patio of our own, I really missed sitting outside to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine or just get some fresh air. Sherlock spends most of his time when we're home sitting outside on one of our patios/balconies and taking in the sights and fresh air. While our yard is small, it's more than we've ever had to call our own!
I think we need some patio furniture. This is looking a little ghetto to me!

3. Flexibility in David's work. If you haven't already, you can read about Kimber Images on my post Journey to Kimber Images. Running his own business can be stressful for David (and myself). We never know when there will be work, we never know if/when we'll be bringing in money, we never know what sorts of issues might arise with the realtors he works with, etc. There is much uncertainty! We do appreciate the flexibility though. If David wants the weekend off, he can take it off. If we have some prior arrangements, he will just block off that time. If we have a day, weekend or evening off, he can fill it with work!
David has been doing more Interior Design work like this lately, which is very exciting!
