Spontaneous Fun

I've been craving some family time outside the house (along with the rest of the world I'm sure). Aunty Sonya picked up a scooter for Emilia someone was giving away, so after nap time on Monday I suggested we all go take a drive out there to pick it up, and then go by the airport to see if we can see any planes. 

We picked up the scooter, went to the airport, and saw a few planes, but couldn't find a great spot to sit and look, so we drove around the corner and happened upon a little beach spot. The tide was way out, and we hopped out to sit for a minute. A minute turned into a couple hours when Dom started having the time of his life playing in the sand. That was unexpected... He was wearing sweats and runners! Not exactly beach-wear. He was having such a blast that I ordered some food for Dave and Emilia to go pick up, while we sat and played. When they got back, we had a White Spot picnic on the beach and then packed up to go home. Such a fun random family date!

We just happened to have a digger and a beach blanket in the van. Score!

Scooter girl <3

Further spontaneity, Scott and Ashleigh got a puppy! With all this extra time on their hands, they were ready to take on the added responsibility. Meet Benny (Benedict), the little poodleXpointer. Little being the operative word; he's SO tiny! We went to meet him yesterday and fell in love, Dom especially. 

Okay, that was wild; back to regular life now :)
