Thankful Thursday - 163

1. Sherlock Santa Photos. A couple weeks ago we met up with Shel and some of the other Oceantide Tollers (and a few honorary members) for a photo with Santa. He's bottom right, wearing a harness, looking stressed as ever! Considering there were 10 tollers in the room we got the picture done relatively quickly!

2. Hilarious Game. David purchased a download for this game, and then asked Cotala to print it for him/me/us. It is so so funny. Some of the cards are a little TOO offensive, but it wouldn't be Cards Against if they werent.

3. Mmm... organization. This picture makes me so happy. Before we moved into our house the previous owners had something like this set up in the pantry. I was immediately jealous of it. Only took me 3.5 years to get it done, but I love it! And yes, I printed little labels for each of the hooks too.

4. Routine. The last couple weeks have been so out of whack for us. Late nights, putting the kids down elsewhere and transferring them, lots of sugar and alcohol, and SO. MANY. SOCIAL. EVENTS. It feels really nice to wind down and get back to regular life. A couple days back into our old routine Dom became a different boy - in a good way. Suddenly he was eating everything in front of him, didn't throw a single tantrum in a whole day, napped normally, and even let us take his 2 year photos finally!

The only way we could get him to sit with the bear was if we had Emilia sit with him to start.

Why is she so crazy?! What is this face? Goofball

Lots of crawling around lately. Great way for her to burn energy!

Dom & I have had many tea parties the last few days. The toaster is now hidden in the basement after it scared the ever loving shit out of him because it pops spontaneously and we weren't on the main floor with him. Haha! Nightmares for sure.

5. A New Year with new goals. Dave and I don't really do "resolutions" because everyone seems to give up on resolutions by the 1st of February. We did spend a lot of time the last couple days talking about what we want this year to look like. Maybe I'll get into it in another post, but it mostly has to do with how we're going to survive thrive this year, particularly if/when I don't go back to work and we no longer have any guaranteed income. Growing David's business, marketing through social media, budgeting our lives, planning meals, having a good system with the two kids, etc. It's a lot to think about, but suddenly it's our reality.

Here are some pictures from our New Years Eve. We had Scott, Ashleigh, Steve and Meghan over for some games, drinking, and staying up until midnight!

A little Beer Pong action. I'll have you know I was undefeated in every game we played that night. Codenames, Beer Pong and some form of that Speak Out game with the crazy things in your mouth.

Why have we never tried this before? Our island is the PERFECT spot for beer pong.

Trying to drink a cup of water with the big mouth appliance and no hands. Many laughs were had!

They wisely tucked in some napkins as bibs Haha

6. Close family. I often mention how grateful I am that our family is close, but it's really amazing that even our extended families manage to get together, get along and actually enjoy each others' company. I didn't realize how lucky we were until I was an adult and learned from others what family dynamics are more than often like.

I am so looking forward to seeing what 2019 will bring!
