Lately - June Catch-up

I've been so caught up in my pregnancy posts that I haven't posted anything about the rest of my life! Believe it or not, I still have a life... (somewhat... between naps maybe...)

We started June with some house-sitting and hanging out with my dad's cousin's three girls. They range from Grade 6 to 12, so it's definitely nothing like baby-sitting. I'd say they took better care of us than we did of them! We felt so spoiled. This was the weekend in June where the temperature got up to 35 degrees inland, so we were VERY grateful to have access to their pool! The weekend felt more like a vacation than helping anyone out! :)

This was going to be our life for the rest of the weekend... how amazing?!

Delicous Spaghetti Dinner

This is Penny. Their 4.5 month old Labradoodle. She's an incredible little pup. So well behaved!

Penny on the attack!

We took the girls and Penny to their puppy class at TNT Kennels and wouldn't you know it... Sherlock's half-brother Rebel was in the class! He looks so much like Sherlock at that age! Adorable.

Laura spoiled us with these decaf frappuccinos she made from scratch! She's quite the little chef/hostess!

We spent some time (okay.. a lot of time) geeking out with Harry Potter stuff. In particular, we spent a good 5 hours playing Harry Potter Monopoly, and eventually had to call it quits and have Charlotte and David count up their remaining money. David won, but it was CLOSE!

Check out this breakfast Laura made for us on Sunday morning!

Delicious fresh muffins, and homemade parfaits in fancy (plastic) wine glasses! So much spoiling!!

The heat on Sunday called for a water gun fight around the pool.

We got home Sunday evening and went to pick up Sherlock from my parents' house where he was staying. It was so hot out, we had to go buy him a pool to lay in in our yard. Poor guy doesn't regulate his temperature well, but he did enjoy the water!

Sherlock's show-down with this cat!

This past weekend was Katrina & Brayden's baby, Henry's, first birthday party! They had some friends and family over to celebrate the little cutie.

The "cake smash". This was more of a... cake nibble, but super cute nonetheless!

June 12 was Janine's bridal shower Monica, Michelle and I planned for her at Michelle's complex's clubhouse! We did a Parisian theme, so had some Eiffel towers, french music, and some other cute decor!

Cookies and little cupcakes made by Monica, and giant cupcake from Frosting! They were all delicious! P.S. aren't those Eiffel tower cookies adorable?!

Crystal modelling at our Mimosa bar

A virgin Mimosa for me thank you...

There were no gifts at the party, but we wanted Janine to have something to take home, so we decided to do a "guest-book" picture frame, and have everyone sign the matte around one of their engagement photos.

As you can see, we've been super busy and with many awesome and exciting things! This weekend coming up is Janine & Neil's wedding festivities which is SUPER exciting! Can't wait to see them get married, experience some of the traditional Hindu wedding aspects, and get dressed up! (Too bad I'm missing out on the open bar(s) though!)
