A Trip to Agassiz

Last weekend David's parents moved out to Agassiz. Dave's been out there a few times, but we decided to make a family trip out this Friday! What we didn't realize at the time, was that it was the Friday of a long weekend. Traffic wasn't good. Instead of taking Highway 1, we took 56th all the way to the Mission Highway and crossed over into Mission then took Highway 7 out to Agassiz. It was about an hour and a half drive, so while it was longer even than it would have been to sit in traffic, we kept moving the whole time and it was a beautiful drive!

Dom and Emilia have been prepping for this move for months already, so there were no nerves. Straight to the play room they went, and we hardly saw them the whole time! Eva napped a couple times (sort of) in the play pen, and was overall in a good mood thank goodness! She's very hit or miss! We stuck around until 7pm, hoping at least one of the three would sleep on the way home. Alas... no one slept, but it was fine. A quicker drive home and straight to bed upon arrival.

It was really nice to visit, and I'm glad we could sort of make a day of it, leaving after Eva's first nap.

Such a cute house! <3

Eva actually let Gramma feed her twice!

View of Mt. Cheam from their back deck

Oh ya, we brought Sherlock too! He and Hiker ran around the yard a lot, and finally by the end Sherlock was toaaast

Under their deck is a huge covered area with some more kids toys. What a blast

The jolly jumper is Eva's favourite thing. We brought it along and had no regrets. She doesn't love being handled, but also doesn't love just laying around on the floor anymore, so this is perfect.

Cue Dom asking 6,000 questions about sunsets, mountains, directions, and any other thing that might pop into a 4 year old's head... for an hour straight...
